The Druze Foundation for Social Welfare, founded in 1983, initially supported relief efforts in Lebanon and later assisted Druze families of martyrs and the disabled with over USD 7.5 million in contributions. It also funds scholarships for financially needy and academically qualified Druze students at the American University of Beirut (since 2002) and the University of Balamand’s nursing department (since 2022).
